How Location of Building Reduces Dependence on Vehicles

Describe how the location of the building reduces dependence on vehicles.
(For example, is it accessible by public transportation? Is it within walking distance of shops and services? Does it feature amenities, such as bike racks and showers, to promote alternative forms of transportation?)

The location of the building is:

1) 1 ½ blocks from the Howard Street Rapid Transit Terminal which encompasses
CTA train and bus lines, Pace buses, Metra link, and a park and ride garage.

2) 2 blocks from the Gateway Center shopping and services; 6 blocks (10 min.
by CTA train or bus) from downtown Evanston shopping, services, dining and
entertainment; 30 min. from downtown Chicago by CTA train or bus.

3) 1 block to the Chicago lakefront, parks, beaches and 2 major bike paths.
5 blocks (10 min. by CTA train or bus) from the Loyola Lake Shore and
Northwestern campuses.

4) There is bicycle storage in the building for up to 10 bikes, and
the garage is pre-wired to charge alternative fuel vehicles.
