project priorities, specifications, and budgets.
Representation of the owner in contract negotiations with contractors for the project.
Assessment of contractors' performance in constructing the project as planned and
certification to authorize payments to contractors.
Monitoring of contractors' progress and quality per the project specifications and schedule.
Management of changes to the project and work when authorized.
Selection of materials to minimize environmental impacts:
Renewable and recycled products (aggregates for paving, concrete, engineered wood,
steel structural members, wall board, interior finishes, flooring and trim)
Products and finishes with low VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions and water-
based solvents and avoidance of materials containing formaldehyde-based glues
